THE IMPORTANCE OF COFFEE AND ITS HISTORY…

Oct 5 @ 8:15 am - 10:15 am

With more than 15 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, Steve May has seen how the coffee market has developed and evolved, into the powerhouse that it is today!

In this session Steve will cover a wide range of topics including; where coffee originally came from, how tastes
change from country-to-country, and where he sees the industry going over the next year and beyond!

There will also be demonstrations and tastings for you to truly understand the difference between espresso and
filter-based drinks, and the taste difference between Arabica and Robusta beans.

Have you ever wondered what a flat white is? Or been baffled by a coffee ‘connoisseur’ talking about the science
behind making a simple espresso? If so, then this is the session for you.

This networking event will be held at Balmforth & Co’s Coffee School, located in Building 2 of the Business Village.  Call in at any time between 8:15 am and 10:15 am even if you can only spare 20 minutes, and don’t forget your business cards, marketing leaflets, and tenant offers.

We’ll have our usual selection of refreshments including bacon and sausage sandwiches to help ease you into the weekend and there’ll be plenty of opportunity to network with fellow Business Village tenants and visitors from the wider Barnsley
business community.

Doors open at 08.15 for informal networking and refreshments and presentation to start at 08.45.
