Federation of Small Businesses invite you to the ‘First Friday Event’ in conjunction with The Business Village @BarnsleyBIC.
Our Guest Speaker is Ken Keenan of Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council:
Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council has a high level of ambition and aspiration to make the borough a thriving and unique place to live and work. The employment and skills strategy “More and Better Jobs” aims to build the skills needed to support a thriving and vibrant economy which gives Barnsley employers the skills they need to grow locally, regionally and globally and Barnsley people the skills they need to gain and secure sustainable employment now and in the future.
The economies of Barnsley and Sheffield City Region are characterised by a high proportion of SMEs. To improve the work readiness of young people, more SME’s need to be engaged and supported to provide more quality and meaningful experiences.
