At this session, Hannah Boynes from the multi-award winning Employment Law team at Lupton Fawcett LLP will be looking at holiday pay and holiday entitlement issues which can arise with staff. Calculating holiday pay has become much more complicated in recent years. Hannah will be explaining how to protect your business by complying with the law and reducing the risk of claims.

In particular, Hannah will be looking at:

  • How much holiday staff are entitled to receive;
  • Whether that holiday can be carried over into a new leave year;
  • How much holiday pay they should receive.

 

If you have even just one employee, it is important that you are getting their holiday entitlement and holiday pay right. Employers can and do face claims from staff for holiday pay. It’s better to get it right now, rather than when any shortfalls have amounted to a significant sum which could really impact on your business. Hannah will explain some of the pitfalls that employers may fall into when dealing with holiday and identify the issues to look out for.

This 45 minute session will leave you with an insight into these tricky areas and best practice ways to ensure that you are complying with the legislation.
